The Great Hyperspace War

Unfortunately, the coordinates led them to Korriban, a burial planet deep within the Sith Empire that served as the final resting place for dead Sith Lords covered in statues, tombs, and monuments. The pair arrived in the midst of a power struggle among the Sith Lords. Dark Lord of the Sith, Marka Ragnos, had recently died, bringing about an end to his century-long rule. The death of Ragnos left a power vacuum among the Sith and the two lords poised to become the new Dark Lord were Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh. Following Marka Ragnos' funeral procession on Korriban, Sadow and Kressh wasted no time in battling it out to claim the throne. Their duel however, was interrupted by the arrival of Gav and Jori Daragon who were promptly arrested as spies.

The pair were imprisoned on the planet of Ziost while the Sith Lords were split on deciding what should be done with them. Ludo Kressh feared the Daragon's arrival warned of an impending invasion and advocated a stance of protectionism for the Sith Empire. However, Naga Sadow interpreted their arrival as an opportunity for the Sith to expand their empire, acquire new riches, and conquer new worlds and races.

Not content to let the Sith Lords become stymied in debate, Naga Sadow implemented a scheme that would push the Sith towards an invasion of the Republic. Springing the Daragon's from prison, Sadow made it look like a raid by Republic forces as evidence that a quick and decisive response was needed. While many of the Sith Lords rallied to Sadow's cause in the face of a potential Republic invasion, Ludo Kressh saw through the ruse and gathered together forces loyal to his side. Together, Ludo Kressh, Horak-Mul and Dor Gal-Ram amassed above Naga Sadow's fortress and besieged it from orbit. Having counted on Kressh's betrayal however, Naga Sadow launched a counterattack that decimated the bombarding fleet.

With Ludo Kressh no longer a threat, Naga Sadow declared himself the new Dark Lord of the Sith and continued preparations for invasion. Following her prison break, Jori Daraogn escaped from Korriban in the Starbreaker 12 to warn the Republic of the impending invasion. Unfortunately, she was unaware that Sadow facilitated her escape and planted a homing beacon on her ship that would lead the Sith right into the heart of the Republic. However, before she could sound the alarm, Jori was arrested as soon as she returned to the Empress Teta system on charges of fraud and starship theft.
